Let’s get it started in here~

Hey everyone, so we’re kickstarting all our wonderful IV events ASAP.

Small group Bible studies is the core of our community and really where we get to encounter God through the Scripture. With that said:
Foggy Bottom Coed small group meets on Mondays at 8 in Dakota 1003.
Vern Coed small group meets on Mondays at 5 in Cole Hall Common Room, basement.
Foggy Bottom girls’ small group meets on Tuesdays at 6:15 in West End 107, starting 1/31.
Foggy Bottom’s Handsome Men’s Club (yes, they came up the name themselves) meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 in Ivory 212. They’ll be having dinner together!
I will have the time and place updated as they are confirmed.
Even if you’ve never been to any IV events, this is a great place to introduce yourself and get to meet our community in a smaller and more intimate setting.

Daily prayer will be at 12 everyday this semester, Kogan if sun, next to Marvin glass tables if rain. God’s been really blessing us through this time of prayer. Come join us!

And of course, our large group meeting, the Well, will be on Thursday at 8 in Marvin 413. See you there!

We as a fellowship CANNOT wait to see what God has in store for us this semester, and we always hope you can join us in exploring God and what He means for us, our community, and our campus!

GEEEEEEEET EXCITED!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody,

Welcome to (or, in case of upperclassmen, back to) the GW Campus! Intervarsity is very excited to kickstart a brand new year and brand new semester! We can’t wait to get to meet all of you who are interested in joining our fellowship! Here are a few ways you can get connected with us:

1. The Well. Thursdays @ 8 in Marvin (room to be confirmed). This is our weekly place for large group fellowship. We’ve been really blessed by this time, so we hope to see you there also! Through the Well, we will also start helping you plug into Small Groups, which are our Bible studies. The leaders of each small group will determine the time and place after they find out the schedules of those who are interested. So… we’ll keep you posted! Freshmen and newcomers, please look at the contact us tab and skim the small groups we have available, then maybe you can start contacting the leaders of the groups you are interested in.

2. Daily Prayer Meetings (times to be determined) in front of the clock tower in Kogan, or in case of rain, next to the glass tables in Marvin. This is a short time for us to draw back from the day to seek God and pray for our community and campus. We usually pray for 15- 20 minutes, so if your class lets out a little after the designated time, feel free to come join us! This time has really made a difference in our daily routines and our community, and we hope you can participate too!

3. Every Sunday – Find A Church
Meet at the Gelman Starbucks @9 AM to learn about great local churches around GW and DC. For more info please view the Find a Church tab.

Dear Potential-Freshman-of-2011,

First off, we’d like to say something that you’ll get tired of hearing very quickly: Congratulations on becoming a potential GDub student! GW Intervarsity is extremely excited about what a new year and new students would bring to our community and environment.

This is basically a post on how to get more personal information about IV, so here goes:

We would love to answer any questions you have about churches, IV, or GDubs in general. So, click on our Contact Us tab, somewhere up……………………………..there↑, and feel free to contact our student leadership team or our own personal IV staff, Bethany! Also, if you want to come out and meet an IV student for coffee/lunch, we’d love to make that happen too!

We have a few exciting events coming up, and as this is April Visit Month, we would love for you to drop on by if you happen to be in town, and this will also update you about what we’ve been up to lately:

Daily Prayer Meetings: We are currently meeting in Kogan Plaza in front of the clock tower or, in case of spring rain, the Marvin Center (near the glass tables in the lobby) @12 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and @2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Come join us for a short time of fellowship and coming together to seek God everyday!

The Well- our weekly large group meeting on Thursday nights @8. This is a great time of fellowship and worship with the entire IV. If you happen to be around, we’d love for you to stop by! Our meeting room is in Marvin, and is usually 309 or 310. We will update the exact room number ASAP. Our last Well will be on the 28th.

Easter service- this is a new event for us and is something we’re extremely excited about. On Easter Sunday, we will be having a service outdoors from 3-4 in Veteran’s Park, which is right on the intersection of 22nd and G. We will be joined by a YWAM team, and this would be a great time to experience what IV is about and to get to know us better. We will have an information table out, so don’t hesitate to come right up to us to find out what IV does and how you can get plugged in!
